RUBBISH COLLECTION
Black bag rubbish is collected every Friday.
There are 3 coloured bags and a black box for recycling. These are emptied on every other Friday.
To obtain the bags and box call 0300 1234 141. There is also a garden waste collection service.
Recycling and rubbish must be ready at your kerbside collection point by 7am.
Newspapers can be obtained from the Co-op and Phoenix Stores in St Stephen.
LOCAL SHOPS
For groceries there is a Co-operative Store (open from 6am to 10pm everyday) as well as a Nisa shop in St Stephen. There is also a hairdressers, Chinese Takeaway, Fish and Chip Shop, Launderette Car Sales and a garage supplying petrol and car maintenance.
POST OFFICE
This is located in the Co-operative Store in St Stephen. Opening hours are the same as the shop hours
POST COLLECTIONS
There are 2 post boxes in Coombe, one in the side wall of 'Lanyons' opposite the Playing Field and the other at the opposite end of the village, on a telegraph pole just before you get to the Community Hall.

COOMBE COMMUNITY TRUST (CCT)
The CCT operates the Community Hall which may be hired for private parties, meetings and other functions. Information about forthcoming events in the Hall and local news can be found on Coombe Facebook page (Coombe - St Austell).
(Events are also advertised on posters in the village and on the Hall notice board.)
The Trust organises two main events every year, the Fete, on the first Saturday in July, and the Horse Show on the first Sunday in September.

GRAMPOUND ROAD VILLAGE MARKET
Grampound Road Market is held on the third Saturday of the month in Grampound Road School Hall from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
The market supports local farmers, producers and handicrafts. There is a wide range of stall holders and a very popular cafe.
You can buy sausages and hogs pudding, eggs, vegetables, home made bread, cakes, preserves, jams, pickles, Mary's pasties, Cornish cheese, fresh flowers and plants.
The cafe serves delicious homemade cakes and excellent coffee or tea. All the profits go to support Grampound Road Village Hall. The cafe is the perfect place to meet friends and neighbours and to find out about other community events.
